Letter on Disability Insurance (DI) Fund Reallocation

The LCAO letter urged the President to include a non-controversial, commonsense legislative adjustment in the 2016 budget for Congress to temporarily reallocate the Social Security payroll contributions to address the anticipated shortfall in the Social Security Disability Insurance (DI) program. LCAO also strongly urged the President to reject proposals to cut Social Security benefits, coverage, or eligibility.

Altering Extra Help Co-payments Issue Brief

The Leadership Council of Aging Organizations (LCAO) does not support increasing the Extra Help co-payment for brand name medications. Depending on the proposed increase in co-payments, the cost of medications could more than triple for some Extra Help beneficiaries, making needed prescriptions unaffordable.
